GLASS & GLASS+ GLASS & GLASS+ offline

Overview

Some GLASS and GLASS+ units were temporarily unable to be controlled, and appeared as offline in the application. We have resolved this issue, although we are still monitoring to ensure the race condition does not re-appear.

Resolution

Some older GLASS units were sending errant data to our server, and a race condition caused the port responsible for communicating with GLASS devices to lock up and not send/receive data.

Mitigation

We've fixed the race condition that caused this lock-up to occur, and introduced auto-restart capability in the event of similar errors being detected in future.
